i remember a friend of mine who is in depression mentioned to me to this effect....

just giving a voice to that depression of his:

I know how it feels.
I know exactly how it feels to cry in the shower so no one can hear you,
waiting for everyone to fall asleep so you can fall apart,
for everything to hurt so bad you just want to end it all.
I know that feeling very well.


What he said hit me hard on how he thinks and feels every time he goes through his silent agony.
